At this year's Baisakhi Celebrations 5,500 lbs of food was collected by the children and youth of the GGSCF for the Daily Bread Food Bank. Food was collected at the Nagar Kirtan on April 30, and at various Gurdwaras throughout the city during the month of April. The community again supported this effort with a great response while celebrating the anniversary of the birth of the Khalsa. The GGSCF, with the cooperation of many of the Gurdwaras, now has two annual food drives; one at Baisakhi (April) and the other on Guru Nanak Dev Ji's Gurpurab (November).  The GGSCF would like to thank all those who contributed with donations, and those who helped to sort out and transport the food.
