July 14 - Trois-Rivières

July 14, 2009
Stage 14

Batiscan, QC to Saint Sulpice, QC.

The day started with a quick breakfast in our RV as the Delta Hotel we stopped at, did not provide breakfast until later and we needed to get going at 6:00 a.m.

We started our run, Batiscan, a small community on the northern shores of the St. Lawrance River. After this location we headed off into the town of Trois-Rivères (meaning Three Rivers). The good part of the town was that we got to run the bridges where many places we have to miss them due to safety concerns over traffic.

The day was wonderful if not a little too hot. Good progress was made as we headed to Montreal, Canada’s second biggest city. The day finished 30 kilometres short of the bridge entering the city of Montreal.
