Stage 14

Batiscan, QC to Saint Sulpice, QC.

The day started with a quick breakfast in our RV as the Delta Hotel we stopped at, did not provide breakfast until later and we needed to get going at 6:00 a.m.

We started our run, Batiscan, a small community on the northern shores of the St. Lawrance River. After this location we headed off into the town of Trois-Rivères (meaning Three Rivers). The good part of the town was that we got to run Read more…

St-Michel De B., QC to Batiscan, QC.

The morning started with an Ardas along the banks of the St. Lawrance River at the eastern outskirts of Levis, QC. After Ardas, the runners proceeded through the narrow streets to the waterfront where a Ferry transported the runners across to Quebec City.

St. Andre, QC to St-Michel De B., QC.

In the early morning hours, the East Team began the run facing heavy winds. Even the normally calm St. Lawrence River looked more like the sea as waves rocked the shores when the runners struggled by. Fortunately, the winds died down as the day progressed and the runners emerged from their cover behind the run van.

St. Hilaire, NB to St. Andre, QC

The East team started the day in St. Hilaire, New Brunswick and proceeded towards the New Brunswick/Quebec border. The first team experienced a cold yet calm start to the day as they ran on a quiet country highway through some foggy weather. Even with the weather on the foggy side, the runners found the route to be very scenic. Within a couple of kilometers the runners proceeded across the border between the two provinces and into Quebec. Read more…

Upper Kent to Edmundston

The East team was up early once again to begin the tenth day of our journey from Upper Kent to St. Hilaire, New Brunswick. The day was hot and sticky as the thermometer hit a new high but the runners did not give up and rufused to stop until completion of the day’s planned route.
