Run Day 4

Port Hawkesbury to Pictou, Nova Scotia

After a bit of a challenging day in Nova Scotia on July 3rd, we were definitely ready to have a full run-day of smooth sailing and lots of running for both teams, and thankfully enough we got almost all of our wish… with the exception of a rainy day that was still nice to cool off in!

Stage 34
Shabaqua, ON to English River, ON.

It was a frosty morning and the first team bravely began the 34th day of the run. iphone 8 case leather blue While the persistent rain has been challenging throughout the run, this morning its effects had begun to show with some of the runners feeling under the weather. Each team had awesome first shifts even with several runners who needed to take it easy despite their enthusiasm to contribute. Run Day 3

North Sydney, to Port Hawkesbury, Nova Scotia

It was a restful night for most as we rocked away to a comfortable sleep in the ferry on our individual dormitory beds. Everyone got ready and headed for breakfast in the Ferry cafeteria. bmw phone case iphone 7 When there’s 30 people walking around in bright yellow and blue outfits, we’re bound to draw some attention. black iphone 6 case with roses At breakfast, we were pleasantly surprised to receive homemade organic banana bread from a woman on the Ferry who actually saw us running the day before on the way to Ferry, and congratulated us on our efforts. heavy duty iphone case 6 We also received a $20 donation from another passenger on the Ferry – truly some encouraging moments that were also very delightful experiences!

July 2nd, 2009
Run Day 2
Route 100 to Argentia
Newfoundland & Labrador

The first day was a long one for us which helped to make the second day a short one, since we only had about 40kms remaining to cover in Newfoundland before catching the Ferry from Argentia, NL to North Sydney, NS.

An excellent positive note to the day was set right from the beginning when we saw our own Sophia Randhawa & Pavan Ubhi, featured in the local newspaper. iphone 8 floating case (Read the article here) The two teams split the day, and only had about 1.5 hours of running to do before catching the Ferry. iphone 8 french bulldog case It was a nice slow day for us, with some challenging areas of the route, but at the same time, some really scenic scenes to enjoy as well.

Bowker, ON to Shabaqua, ON.

The day started off with the first team having their Ardas take place at the Terry Fox Memorial look out point.
