Portage La Prairie, MB to Brandon, MB.

Today marked the first day of the west team that arrived from Toronto. All were up early in the morning and after breakfast at 5:30am at the Hampton Inn, downtown Winnipeg, the first Blue Team headed to Portage-la-Prairie. Transcona, MB to Portage La Prairie, MB.

On drizzly weather this morning, at 7am, the Blue Team started the run into the city of Winnipeg along HWY 115. Winnipeg Police escorted us through the city allowing us to pass through red lights. At 7:45am we ran up to the Manitoba Legislative Building and were greeted at the steps by local community leaders and also the West Team who had driven up to Winnipeg overnight.

McMunn, MB to Transcona, MB.

Today the team headed out early morning at sunrise, the temperatures were very mild and excellent for running. It was also the day we needed to get to the City Limits of Winnipeg. The run started heading north on Hwy 11 from the Trans Canada Highway and then west along Hwy 15 directly into Winnipeg. The route was chosen as it was less travelled than the Trans Canada Highway. Dinorwic, ON to Scovil, ON

The runners began their day bright and early at 6 am in the morning. After a splended breakfast at the Holiday Inn, we headed east towards a small town named Kenora. The yellow team began the run with an enthusiastic attitude; Avneet did the Ardas and although some of the runners were not feeling well, they were still able to pull through. Along the way we experienced some great scenery that made the run more enjoyable for all. English River, ON to Dinorwic, ON.

The thirty-fifth day of the run began earlier than usual as the team had to drive back more than an hour towards English River which provided ample time for the runners to catch up on some sleep. Upon completion of the Ardas, they started to run through the cool breeze which eventually turned into stronger winds that the runners had to cut through as they made their way westward to Dryden on the never-ending Highway 17.
