It is almost coming up to one year while the Gurdwara food bank has been in operation. GGSCF volunteers runs this every weekend Sundays 3pm to 4pm when basic dry food are available to students in need. The food banks is run from donations made by the sangat with support from Scarborough Gurdwara (when dome basic needs are not available). Read more…
This year the annual Guru Nanak Food Drive was held from November 1 to 15 for the Daily bread Food Bank. Even though we now have a ongoing food drive all year in support of international students in need, the Sangat still responded with 5248lbs of food collected. Read more…
This year to enjoy the warm and bright Autum colours the walk was held at Colonel Danforth Park, Scarborough. The 38 participants of all ages walked from 2km to 20km depending on their ability, along Highland Creek to the lake and then along the lakefront with some making their way to the Rouge River. The year the GGSCF restarted the house league soccer club at Scarborough Gurdwara. After the pandemic and with not enough signing up in 2023, this year the club was restarted with 28 participants on May 30th. Read more…
