On July 25th, GGSCF volunteers took the seniors to Niagara Falls for the Annual Seniors Trip. Two buses took seniors to the falls from Mayfield, Dixie, Malton, and Scarborough Gurdwaras. The seniors were first able to visit and have langar at the new Gurdwara in Niagara and learn about the Sikh community there. Read more…
The GGSCF again collected donations and served food at the Can-Sikh Tournament at Wildwood Park in Malton. C-SASIL held its fifth annual Abilities Challenge Event on May 30, 2015. The purpose of the event was to raise awareness about disability rights. In total, 12 teams consisting of three members each participated in the race. The GGSCF volunteers assisted C-SASIL with setting up and officiating the races and keeping times. Read more…

There was a great turn out this year at the Nagar Kirtan in Mississauga where sangat came to join in the procession from Malton to Rexdale Gurdwaras. Foundation volunteers were at the Peel Art Gallery, Museum and Archives for the closing reception of the Sikh Heritage Month exhibit. Thousands of people turned out at this year’s Khalsa Day Celebrations in Downtown Toronto. Thirteen climbers took part in this year’s CN Tower Stair climb. The number was down from previous years but that did not deter these competitors from racing up the 1776 steps and collecting $975 for the Canadian World Wildlife Fund.
