This year the annual seniors trip was held to celebrate Canada 150. Three school buses of seniors from Dixie Gurdwara and Scarborough Gurdwara went to Niagara Falls and also visited the Gurdwara there where they had langar. The seniors then made their way to Fort George where Canada Parks is celebrating Canada 150 with a free entry to the fort. Here, they learned about the historical significance of the fort as well as saw the barracks and drills where soldiers dressed in 1812 war attire fired cannons and muskets. With the change in weather, the program for afternoon tea was changed to the Ravi Dass Gurdwara in Burlington. Here, the seniors were treated with snacks, learned more about Canada and won prizes for answering questions about Canada. The GGSCF honoured all the seniors with a Canada 150 medal.
