Thousands of people turned out at this year’s Khalsa Day Celebrations in Downtown Toronto. Once again, GGSCF volunteers were looking after the shuttle bus service which gets people to the CNE Grounds and back home from the Nagar Kirtan finish at City Hall. With the warm and sunny weather, even more sangat came out than last year which made the bus seva all the more exciting. Although some latecomers were turned away in the morning, we were successful making sure thousands of people were able to enjoy the day and get home safely. As with every year, there were some challenges which we encountered, but are anxious to work through these to make next year even better. Some of our volunteers were also busy getting the word out about Inspirational Steps and had a table set up at the Better Living Centre, and one of them was accompanied in a Despicable Me Minion costume at City Hall which got loads of attention from the sangat that was lined up for the ride home.
