The Nagar Kirtan this year returned to the Better Living Centre at the CNE. With the good weather the turnout was excellent. During Vaisakhi celebrations at Scarborough Gurdwara, 10,900 lbs of food was collected for the Daily Bread Food Bank by the Sikh sangat. The GGSCF volunteers would like to thank all those who contributed to this effort as it helps to feed some of the less-fortunate in Toronto.
This year, the date of the CN Tower Stair Climb marked the 100th anniversary of the Jallianwala Park massacre in Amritsar (April 13, 1919).
