With the support of the sangat at Scarborough Gurdwara, 2460 lbs of food was collected for the Daily Bread Food Bank. The food was collected from Vaisakhi on April 14^th to the Nagar Kirtan on April 29^th. The Daily Bread Food Bank appreciated the effort from the Sikh community and they acknowledged this in a thank you letter.

The challenge at this year’s Nagar Kirtan was the change in venue, from the Better Living Centre to the Enercare Building at the CNE. With the help of 770AM Punjabi hosts, a Vaisakhi Radiothon was held in support of the children sponsored by the GGSCF. The response from the listening sangat was overwhelming on this historic anniversary of the Khalsa. The annual food drive for the Daily Bread Food Bank was held from October 28^th to November 13^th at Scarborough Gurdwara on the occasion of Guru Nanak Dev Ji’s Gurpurab.
