This year the Senior’s Day Trip was to Niagara Falls. Due to the pandemic we have not been there for many years. Two buses of seniors enjoyed the trip to Kingsbridge Park just above the Falls where they had lunch, tea and other snacks. GGSCF volunteers had prepared the food earlier with help from Scarborough Gurdwara and Sikh Society of Niagara Falls Gurdwara who helped to make tea and pakora. Read more…
Between 400 to 500 participants took part in this year’s Inspirational Steps. The event was enjoyed very much by all those who participated as the venue Terry Fox Stadium in Chinguacousy Park was excellent and the weather was cool. Participants ranged in age from toddlers who took part in the 400m race, children/youth/seniors from who took part in the 1000m race and open category for the 5km and 10km races. Read more…
Changes are being made to Inspirational Steps to permit greater numbers to participate and thereby provide greater inspirational to all the participants. With the pandemic the numbers have dropped as experienced last year and so the GGSCF has teamed up with other charities and non-profit community organizations as identified on the new flyer. The event will be held at the Terry Fox Stadium in Chinguacousy Park, Brampton. Meetings are being held with representatives from the all the organizations to make this event even bigger and better.
